A Walk to Remember!

We just gave Cheryl her shirt & is reading the back & seeing that we have more in store for her than just visiting for a Saturday night dinner!
Most of our crew that walked with us!! This limo was great :)- the 2 drivers were decked out in black/white/red tuxes as well ... not to mention it was about a 70 year old woman driving this beast!!!

Dad & Cheryl walking together! Go Team Cheryl!!!

A straight up sea of purple!

Cheryl & I once the walk was completed!!! We've walked for quite a few years together & have quite the assortment of Especially for You t-shirts & colors now!!

This past weekend, there was a bit of a hidden agenda. It has been 15 years since Cheryl met breast cancer & fought it off. Our family went through a lot to get her cancer free, and Cheryl sacrificed her hair, her energy, and much of her time to make sure she was here for our family for years to come.

Knowing it was her 15th anniversary, I emailed our family a few months ago to get this set up. Every year, Cheryl & I walk in the Especially for You Breast Cancer Walk at Mercy hospital, but this year, I arranged for my dad, Greg, his girlfriend, Breezy, Brad & I, my mom & Pete and a bunch of our friends to walk in it. Anthony & Megan were supposed to, but they had to stay in Chicago & get ready for the start of Anthony's new job.

The weekend as a whole was a HUGE success- we had a limo pick us up & take us downtown, we all walked together 3.2 miles and we all had a GREAT breakfast once we got back to Dad & Cheryl's!

It was the best way I could think of to celebrate Cheryl's 15th anniversary of being Cancer FREE!!!

Baby Girl Growing!

I'm going out on a limb here, but I don't think Harper appreciated her flower on her head like I did in this picture!!!
This is Harper's Great Grandma Mack- It was her first time meeting Haper!!!

August 6th proved to be an amazing day for our family-

It was on that day that I gained a sister and our family grew! The weather was gorgeous & we started the morning by getting our hair done & gabbing over whatever came to mind. Brad was a groomsman, I was a bridesmaid & Peyton was the ring bear! SO, it was a good thing when my doctor decided to put me on bed rest for 3 days beforehand & still let me go to the wedding as long as I was to put my feet up as much as possible!!

Megan looked absolutely stunning in her dress & Anthony a bit dapper himself :). Once they saw each other for the first time, we all piled in a limo & headed around the city of Chicago for some great pictures! Brad said it was actually the only wedding he has been in that he hasn't minded photos ... he didn't even say that about our wedding!!!

It was overall an amazing day & we danced our hearts out at the party! During the ceremony, Peyton even ran up to Anthony & Megan to give a 'high five' to try to get the party started a little early! :)

Harper's Newborn Pictures!

This past month has proven to be quite interesting. Let's say Harper has been a wonderful baby- Peyton, however has been a handful!

Our first family of 4 photo shoot, resulted in Peyton running into a wall which resulted in a hospital visit and also resulted in our son having to get his front tooth pulled! Now, Peyton, is that any way to act?!?! :) Let's just say my first 3 weeks of maternity leave proved to be a bit difficult!

Here are a few pictures to fill you in!

One PROUD big brother!!!

Our beautiful daughter arrived 3 weeks and one day early, but wow, is she healthy ... and BIG for 3 weeks early! We went into the hospital about 1 in the morning, thinking I was in labor and sure enough, the doctor put us in for a c-section! When she was born and Brad said "Well, we have ourselves a daughter!" I was SHOCKED! I was thinking I was going to be naming another son, even though we had a 50/50 shot! I had moments when I thought I was having a girl, but for the most part, I think I was preparing for a boy! Harper has already been a blessed addition to our family and Peyton has grown up SO much in the last week! He is concerned when she is crying and he brings me her blankets when he thinks she is cold! Peyton hasn't really even had any jealousy fits, but lucky for him, he has a mom and a dad that LOVE spending time with him. So, if I'm tied up, Brad is right there to play with him and vice versa!

10 weeks Prego!

Here I am at 10 weeks ... well, since the doctor was between 2 due dates, so now that I count I was actually just over 9 weeks in this picture. In this picture you can see I am showing just a little, but it's more of at that 'fat stage' where no one can tell you are pregnant except for you because all of your pants are getting entirely too small!
I'm standing in my office, which will soon be our new baby's room! I'm sure we'll take pictures in front of this same wall so you can see the progress we are making ... both my baby bump AND the baby room!
